AI Talent Battles · Talent meets capital

Where skilled talent and investors find each other.

Mixed teams of incoming talent take on a real five-party challenge with everyday AI tools, scored on rules published before the start. Investors and sponsors see the work, not the CV, and request introductions to the people behind it.

  • Talent never pays
  • Rules published before you play
  • Introductions only with consent

How a battle works

One real challenge. Four steps. Proof instead of promises.

A CV says what someone did elsewhere. A battle shows how they think, collaborate and use AI on a problem that matters to both the host side and the country of origin.

  1. Apply and form teams

Talent applies free. We form mixed teams of 3 to 5 people with different skills and backgrounds.

    Free for talent
  2. Take on a real challenge

Every team gets the same corridor challenge, the same AI tools and the same time box.

    Online or in person
  3. Scored on public rules

Out of 100, on a rubric everyone sees before the start, including five-party balance.

    No hidden criteria
  4. Meet and match

Investors and sponsors request introductions. Talent decides, case by case, who they meet.

    Consent first

Built on the Respectful Migration framework

A battle is the five-party test, played live.

Battles are how Respectful Migration moves from principle to practice. Each one puts the five-party compact to work: a match only counts as a win if it leaves all five parties better off, or at least not worse off.

01

Countries of origin

Every challenge asks what flows back: knowledge, capital and ties. Brain circulation, not brain drain, is scored.

02

Host countries

Talent proves contribution on a real problem first, and sponsors step in as accountable guarantors.

03

Migrants

Free, transparent and consent-based visibility to investors: partners, not inventory.

04

Residents of the country of origin

Investors commit to fair recruiting that does not strip critical services from communities who stay.

05

Residents of the host country

Challenges are paced to local capacity, and solutions must protect cohesion and public services.

Every challenge maps to an instrument of the framework: Vetted Relational Visas, Secure Trade corridors, Coherent Integration or Dynamic Border Stewardship. Winning approaches, with the team's consent, become worked examples on this site.

Talent warm-up

Fair by design

Rules you can read before you play.

Every team is scored out of 100 on the same rubric, shown before the start. The rules are a public draft, open to feedback before the first season.

  • 30

    Five-party balance

6 points per party: origin and host countries, migrants, and residents in both. A plan that helps one party by harming another cannot win.

  • 25

    Solution quality & evidence

Does it work, and how strong is the evidence? Overclaiming is penalised.

  • 20

    Feasibility & investability

Could it be funded, piloted and scaled within the rule of law?

  • 15

    Human–AI collaboration

Clear roles: who leads, what AI may do, where a person reviews or overrides.

  • 10

    Integrity

Honest sources, respect for privacy and law, and credit where it is due.

  • Talent never pays. No fees to apply, play or be introduced, in line with the ILO principle that workers do not pay recruitment fees.
  • Capital signs the compact. Investors and sponsors commit to fair recruiting, no fees charged to talent, and no hollowing out of critical services in countries of origin.
  • Partners never buy scores. Investors and sponsors have no scoring vote; anyone linked to a team must disclose it.
  • Consent before contact. Talent details are shared only after the person approves each introduction.
  • Teams, not rankings of people. We publish team scores only, never a ranking of individuals.
  • No promises we cannot keep. A battle is not a job offer, a visa route or an investment commitment.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Who can apply as talent?

Skilled people who are considering, preparing or already living a move between countries, and diaspora professionals who want to keep ties with their country of origin. You do not need a visa, a job offer or a sponsor to apply.

Does taking part affect my immigration status or chances?

No. A battle is not part of any visa procedure, and Respectful Migration is not a visa brokerage or recruitment agency. For legal or immigration questions, consult a qualified adviser.

What do investors see about me?

Team scores and the team's work. Your name and contact details are shared only after you approve a specific introduction. You can say no without giving a reason.

Why is it free for talent and paid for investors?

Workers should not pay to be seen or recruited. Investors and sponsors pay for the stage, the organisation and the introductions, and have no influence on scores.

Which AI tools are used?

Everyday tools such as chat assistants and analysis tools. Every team gets the same tools and the same time box, and the rubric rewards clear human review, not maximum AI use.

When is the next battle?

Dates are set once enough talent and at least one investor or sponsor are confirmed for a round. Apply now and we will propose a date by email.
